Erin Simpson, Executive Vice President
Erin Simpson started working with Richard Horwitz in 2004, when she joined Kenmar as a Quantitative Analyst. In 2006, she left Kenmar to join the Merrill Lynch Hedge Fund Group as a Risk Analyst. While at Merrill, Ms. Simpson helped with the continuing development and implementation of Risk Fundamentals. She used the tool to do manager-specific risk analysis, as well as portfolio construction and analysis of portfolios of hedge funds. In 2007, she left Merrill with Richard Horwitz to start commercializing the Risk Fundamentals system.
Prior to joining the hedge fund community, Ms. Simpson spent three years working as a data analyst at NASA's Hubble Space Telescope Institute. She earned an M.S. in Information and Telecommunication Systems from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Astrophysics from Yale University.
