Research

Richard Horwitz, Erin Simpson and the Risk Fundamentals team have published a large body of research about risk management, and Mr. Horwitz literally wrote the book on the subject. To offer greater insight into the intellectual capital behind Risk Fundamentals, we are making available selected research.

Materials available are:

• a description of Mr. Horwitz’s book, Hedge Fund Risk Fundamentals, which was published by Bloomberg Press, and selected reviews of that work.
• a recent article that Mr. Horwitz and Ms. Simpson co-published with Leslie Rahl of Capital Market Risk Advisors in the AIMA Journal about alpha risk management.
• selected columns from a series of pieces that Mr. Horwitz co-wrote for Risk Magazine on a wide range of topics in the field of risk management, as well as a piece on "shock absorbers" for Global Pensions.
